Haiku (www.haikulearning.com) is a "learning management system," which is to say that it provides a cloud-based web space in which teachers can put course news and information online and even teach classes online. It is similar to Moodle but is not open-source (and not free). In my experience, it is more user-friendly than Moodle, however. Last year we piloted Haiku in many classrooms. This year we are going "school-wide" with Haiku (in our pre-K through 8th grade environment). In this session we will share our experience for the benefit of others who may be interested in Haiku or other learning management systems. -Joe Peacock, Burgundy Farm Country Day School (www.burgundyfarm.org)
